UC Davis expert: Low vaccination rate among young adults could allow for variants to grow - KCRA Sacramento

Brad Pollock, associate dean for public health sciences at the UC Davis School of Medicine, said one of the issues keeping youth from getting the vaccine is their sense of feeling too healthy to be susceptible to the virus.

In Placer County, vaccination rates among those ages 18 to 34 years old are also lower.

"One of the threats that we have is if we can't get the vaccination rates high enough, some of those smaller areas could be wonderful locations for major outbreaks," Pollock said.
