'Borderlands 3' Is Doing PS5 And Xbox Series X Upgrades The Right Way - Forbes

Borderlands 3 just rolled out dates for when the next-gen versions of the game will be live on PS5 and Xbox Series X, and they’re about what you’d expect, minus a collection of regions on PS5.

And to reiterate past points that have been made before, I think Borderlands 3 is doing next-gen upgrades about as good as a current gen game can, as we’re seeing other titles make you pay to upgrade or rebuy the entire game potentially.

All next-gen improvements to the game are free, and your current copy of Borderlands 3 on PS4/Xbox One will carry over to the new console of that brand, PS5 or Xbox Series X.

For graphics and performance there will be a variety of upgrades, but namely the game will run in 4K, 60 fps in both single player and online multiplayer.

I don’t know if Borderlands 3 will stand out among the massive slate of releases going on during next-gen launch week, but if it’s a game you already own, you’ll get to experience the next-gen performance upgrades without buying anything new, which is nice
