Cops probing link between University of Idaho murders and similar Oregon stabbing - New York Post

Cops investigating the brutal slaying of four University of Idaho students are looking into possible ties with an earlier deadly knife attack on a sleeping couple in Oregon.

That case, the reporter noted, also involved “two people stabbed in their home in the middle of the night, long knife, no suspect at this point,” much like the off-campus quadruple slaying in Moscow on Nov.

The Juettens were attacked by a masked intruder as they slept at 3 a.m., police said at the time — with their family putting up a $50,000 reward for info leading to the killer’s arrest.

Like in the Idaho case, the killer struck as other people were home at the time, and a friend planning to catsit for the Juettens, who were due to fly to Hawaii the next day, is thought to have scared off the attacker, KOIN 6 said.
