The Queen refused entry to Royal Windsor Horse Show after guard mistakes her for random 'old dear' - Royal Central

The Queen has attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show every year since the event was first held in 1943.

However, it has recently emerged that the monarch was once temporarily refused entry by a guard after he failed to recognise her.

The recently unearthed story goes back to 1991 when Her Majesty, then 65-years-old, was stopped from entering the event by a security guard.
