In a virtual town hall on Thursday, Monterey County Health leaders tried to clarify the process and timeline for the COVID-19 vaccine.
The big news of the night was the announcement that Monterey County had opened a portal for people to submit interest in receiving the vaccine.
"The Monterey County Health Department has launched an online portal for residents to indicate their interest in getting a COVID-19 vaccine and to be notified when additional tiers are opening for vaccinations.
Moreno said that as of mid-January all COVID-19 vaccines in the county are dedicated to health care and frontline workers in Tier 1a.
