Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi each commit to more Thor — so long as the other is on board?

It's the question many Marvel fans are asking as Chris Hemsworth's fourth solo film as the God of Thunder, and eighth in the universe, hits the big screen – is he hanging up the hammer.

A seasoned pro at deflecting questions about spoilers, as is anyone involved in making a Marvel film, Hemsworth dances around the question about whether there is more for his Thor.

"As long as I keep getting to work with Taika, if he keeps showing up, I'll keep showing up," the Australian star said.

"Wouldn't it be funny, just like a super-low-budget little road trip, you and another Marvel character…" Waititi spit-balls to Hemsworth, who doesn't completely reject the idea.

Waititi, an Academy Award Winner, is credited with bringing new life to the franchise with a fresh comedic take when he signed on for the third instalment, Thor: Ragnarok.

"Working with Taika on Ragnarok we got to recreate the space and destroy what was there and start again, in a great way," Hemsworth said.

When asked how he got fellow New Zealander Crowe on board, Waititi joked: "I said to him 'you get to wear a mini skirt' and he was in.".
