Avengers: Infinity War may have killed off Carrie Coon's character Proxima Midnight, but that didn't stop directors Joe and Anthony Russo inviting the actress back for Endgame.
An aid to Josh Brolin's Thanos in his pursuit to find the Infinity Stones, Coon's Proxima Midnight was killed in spectacular fashion by Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) as she used her floaty hand magic to launch her into a massive spiky wheel.
"[The Russos] were excited about the possibility of me actually physicalising the character as well, and they invited me to come down to Atlanta.
In the end, Proxima didn't get any lines in Endgame, but thanks to the film's time-twisting plot, the character did actually get to make an appearance, albeit in the far distance with a considerable amount of squinting required.
