James Martin praises 'national treasure' Lorraine Kelly in new update after cancer battle

Lorraine asked if he was feeling good during the star's Monday morning appearance to which the chef replied: "Yes, the stitches have fallen out, as you know, the last time I was on, I was in the middle of operations.

James first went public with his cancer battle last year when his foul-mouthed rant at his TV crew in a tape was leaked and had been recorded shortly after his diagnosis.

He said at the time: "I was then diagnosed with cancer on my face and I had to have surgery, which I couldn't do until two days before Christmas when we had finished filming.

In November James gave an update on his health during a tour date at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall.

James' popular Saturday Morning show is currently on air with the star telling Lorraine he is busy filming every week at his Hampshire home with celebrity guests.
