Gandhi on Tuesday launched an all-out attack at PM Modi over his links with Adani and asked how much money the business magnet has given to the BJP in the last 20 years, including through electoral bonds.

Participating in the debate on Motion of Thanks to the President's Address in Lok Sabha, Gandhi hit out at the Modi government over the Hinderburg report and claimed that the rise in Adani’s fortunes happened after the BJP came to power in 2014.

Gandhi also showed a photograph of Prime Minister Modi with Adani, prompting Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to intervene and stop the Congress leader from displaying the picture in the House.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has demanded action against Gandhi for using "certain unverified, incriminatory and defamatory” statements against PM Modi in Parliament over his links with Adani.

In a letter to Birla, Dubey alleged that Gandhi violated rules by “misleading the house” and accused PM Modi of crony capitalism without “documentary evidence”.

“While participating in the debate on Motion of Thanks to the President's Address in Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi, MP made certain unverified, incriminatory and defamatory statements... against Prime Minister without giving advance notice," Dubey said in his letter.
