Android smartphones have witnessed the evolution of ever-decreasing notches to the point that the latest premium devices have under-display cameras (UDC) to banish this unruly blemish, with Samsung promoting the Galaxy Z Fold 3's UDC in the snarky tweet.

At the time, Samsung’s snide "Imagine still having a notch in 2021" comment was already ridiculed by many, and things just got worse thanks to the appearance of leaked renders of the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.

Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is likely to be launched next year, so having a notch in 2022 is apparently better than having one in 2021
